Design Elements FAQs:

Q: How is your vinyl flooring made?
A: All our vinyl flooring is made from PVC and is built up in layers to provide extra comfort and durability.

Q: What are the differences between the vinyl flooring backings?
A: We primarily use three different types of backing. Compactback absorbs sound and gives great thermal insulation; Thermoback also offers thermal insulation and a comfortable feel underfoot, and Powerback is designed for high-traffic areas, offering reduced indentation and added impact resistance.

Q: Which rooms are best for vinyl flooring?
A: The Design Elements range can be used in any room in the home – including bathrooms, kitchens and entranceways. The variety of designs means you can floor the whole home in vinyl but still bring different styles and feels to each room.

Q: Can vinyl be laid over underfloor heating?
A: Yes, it can. This makes it the perfect choice for anyone who already has underfloor heating in certain rooms, or who is upgrading their system to underfloor heating throughout.

Q: Why do you offer such great warranties?
A: We absolutely believe in the quality and durability of our vinyl flooring. As long as customers follow our care instructions, their flooring should last – and look good – for many years.

Q: Is your vinyl flooring easy to care for?
A: We’ve made it as easy as possible for our vinyl flooring to look great every day. We’ve added our Superguard lacquer to all our flooring. This layer gives added protection against scuffs and marks, and makes it easier for customers to look after – we supply full care instructions so you can help customers keep their vinyl looking perfect for as long as possible.
